Chris holt MBE

Chief Executive Officer

Chris is the CEO of CHC Global, having founded the business in 2016. He is widely recognised in the London Market in the field of terrorism, political violence, kidnap for ransom and hostile environment risk management and insurance. He has led the development of a number of award-winning insurance technology platforms, designed to leverage data to form a better understanding of complex risks. As well as leading the business, Chris runs our partnerships and portfolio activity and our Special Projects work. Chris joined the London insurance market in 2008 after an initial career in the British Army. He is a strong supporter of veterans’ charities, including the Lloyd’s and City of London Branch of the Royal British Legion.

Henry Tuggey

Head of Broking

Henry is a Senior Partner at CHC Global and is the Head of Broking advising our clients on how best to mitigate and transfer their special risks. He brings a wealth of experience in this field having previously held roles at Willis’ Special Contingency Risks (SCR) business as the Prevention Team Manager and Head of Alert: 24, a leading integrated risk mitigation and management service. He also coordinated the design and delivery of risk mitigation packages to some of the world’s largest companies. During his initial career, Henry was a British Army Officer in the Rifles seeing service in Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. He has a BA(hons) in Politics and History of the Middle East with Arabic.

Jerry Smith OBE

Head of Advisory

Jerry is a Senior Partner and Head of Advisory at CHC Global. A former bomb-disposal officer and WMD inspector, Jerry has over 25 years’ experience of risk management, crisis response and organisational resilience within the British Military and UK Civil Service as well as the United Nations and the Private Sector. He has worked in over 40 countries including Bosnia, China, Kenya, Iraq, Mexico and Syria. Jerry holds an MBA and BEng(Hons) as well as PGDip in Weapon Effects on Structures. He is a member of the Institute of Explosive Engineers and a visiting fellow of Cranfield University. Jerry is a trustee of ServeOn, an international natural disaster response charity. ServeOn specialises in water and urban search & rescue, as well as leading UK-focused community resilience initiatives.

Rupert Prichard OBE


Rupert is the Non-Executive Chairman of CHC Global and provides oversight to all lines of business. He has had a varied commercial career including construction and building services, recruitment, remote medical and logistics and risk management. He retired from the military in 1998 after 25 years’ service. He is the President of the SAS Regimental Association.
